Grandpa's Morning in the Village

Pagi Kakek di Desa

Pagi itu, kakek bangun sangat awal di desa. Udara masih sejuk, dan langit mulai terang. Ia membuka jendela kayu dan tersenyum pada halaman kecil. Suara ayam, burung, dan angin pelan membuatnya bahagia. Kakek meregangkan tangan, lalu minum teh hangat dari cangkir sederhana. Ia melihat sawah hijau di belakang rumah, dan ia mengucap selamat pagi pada tetangga yang lewat. Sesudah itu, kakek menyapu halaman, menyiram bunga, dan memberi makan ayam. Langkahnya lambat namun mantap. Ia duduk di kursi bambu dekat pintu, beristirahat sebentar, lalu memeriksa jam tua. Matahari naik pelan di atas pohon kelapa. Kakek merasa damai. Ia siap memulai hari, membantu cucu, dan bercerita tentang masa kecil di desa.

That morning, Grandpa wakes up very early in the village. The air is still cool, and the sky begins to brighten. He opens the wooden window and smiles at the small yard. The sounds of chickens, birds, and the soft wind make him happy. Grandpa stretches his hands, then drinks warm tea from a simple cup. He sees the green rice field behind the house, and he says good morning to a neighbor who passes by. After that, Grandpa sweeps the yard, waters the flowers, and feeds the chickens. His steps are slow but steady. He sits on a bamboo chair near the door, rests a moment, then checks the old clock. The sun rises slowly above the coconut trees. Grandpa feels calm. He is ready to start the day, help his grandchild, and tell stories about childhood in the village.
