Bargaining at the Market

Tawar-Menawar di Pasar

Saya pergi ke pasar pagi ini. Udara segar, dan banyak orang berjalan pelan. Saya ingin membeli tomat, cabai, dan mangga. Saya melihat seorang penjual ramah di depan toko kecil. Di meja, warna buah sangat cerah. Harga tertulis di kertas kecil, tetapi saya ingin bertanya. Saya berkata, berapa harga mangga ini. Penjual menjawab, lima belas ribu satu kilo.

English Translation

I go to the market this morning. The air is fresh, and many people walk slowly. I want to buy tomatoes, chilies, and mangoes. I see a friendly seller in front of a small shop. On the table, the colors of the fruit are very bright. The price is written on a small paper, but I want to ask. I say, how much is this mango. The seller answers, fifteen thousand per kilo. I smile and bargain, may it be twelve thousand. The seller thinks, then says, thirteen thousand, agree. I agree. I buy one kilo of mangoes, and also half a kilo of tomatoes. I pay with cash, receive change, and say thank you. I go home happy.
