School Trip to Borobudur

English Translation

On Saturday, our class took a school trip to Borobudur Temple in Magelang. I woke up early, then gathered at school with friends and the teacher. We rode a tourist bus. On the journey, I sat near the window, listened to soft music, and looked at green rice fields. The teacher handed out name cards with emergency numbers, so everyone felt safe. When we arrived there, the air felt fresh. The guide explained the history of the temple in simple language. I learned about the reliefs, the high stairs, and the big stupas at the top. The teacher asked us to note important points, take photos, and keep the area clean. We also heard a story about the restoration process. I walked slowly with my best friend, Rani. We counted the stupas while laughing. In the middle of the walk, we stopped to drink water and eat bread. I also bought a keychain as a souvenir for my younger sibling. The sky was clear, but the wind felt quite hot. Before going home, we gathered under a big tree. The teacher gave a short free time to write a reflection. I wrote that Borobudur made me proud, because this cultural heritage is very beautiful and valuable. After that, we went back to the bus with happy and tired hearts.
