A Weekend in Bandung

Akhir Pekan di Bandung

Rama dan Dita berlibur ke Bandung pada akhir pekan. Mereka naik kereta pagi dari Jakarta. Di perjalanan, mereka melihat sawah hijau dan gunung yang jauh. Udara terasa segar, dan mereka berbicara tentang rencana. Setiba di Bandung, mereka sarapan di kafe kecil dekat stasiun. Mereka menitip tas di penginapan sederhana sebelum mulai jalan jalan. English Translation

Rama and Dita take a short vacation to Bandung on the weekend. They take a morning train from Jakarta. On the journey, they see green rice fields and distant mountains. The air feels fresh, and they talk about their plans. Upon arriving in Bandung, they have breakfast at a small cafe near the station. They leave their bags at a simple guesthouse before they start walking around. The cafe sells warm bread, chicken porridge, and sweet coffee. The staff are friendly, and the prices are fairly cheap. After eating, they walk to Braga to see old buildings and colorful murals. They take simple photos with their phones. At midday, they go to Lembang. They visit a strawberry farm. Rama picks red fruit, while Dita chooses big fruit. A farmer teaches them how to care for plants. The air is colder there, so they wear light jackets. From a hill, they look at the city of Bandung and white clouds moving slowly in the sky. They are happy to learn new things. In the late afternoon, they return to the city. They shop for souvenirs, such as T-shirts, light batik, and brownie cakes. They also buy fried meatball snack and cassava chips for friends at the office. Then they have dinner at a food stall famous for spicy noodle soup. That night, they go home by train. They are tired, but they agree that the weekend in Bandung feels short but very enjoyable.
