Summer in Guangzhou

广州的夏天

I live in Guangzhou. When summer comes, the weather is very hot and very humid. The midday sun is very strong. When I go out, I always wear a hat and sunglasses, and I also put on sunscreen. I often wear light clothes and sandals, and carry a small umbrella, because it often rains in the afternoon. Sometimes there is thunder and wind, and the air is thick like steam. At home I turn on the air conditioner, drink herbal tea or iced water, and also eat watermelon and ice cream. I walk with friends by the river, look at the night view and the lights of the ships. Although it is very hot, I still like summer in Guangzhou, because the city is full of energy and the night market is very interesting.
