Visiting the Clinic
English Translation
This morning I felt a headache and a sore throat; I also had a slight fever, so I decided to go to the community clinic to see a doctor. I took my health card and a mask and went out; the weather was a bit cold, but the sunlight was bright; I walked slowly because I was dizzy. When I arrived at the clinic, the lady at the front desk said, Good morning, please show your ID. I gave her the electronic number on my phone. She asked me to fill a simple form, writing my name, address, phone number, and symptoms. I used a pen and wrote slowly. After a while, the nurse called my name and asked me to go in. She was very kind and asked where I felt uncomfortable. I said I had been coughing for two days and also had a runny nose. At night I slept poorly and sometimes felt chills. The nurse measured my temperature and blood pressure and listened to my breathing. She recorded it in the computer and asked me to wait for the doctor. The doctor was gentle. He greeted me first, then asked for detailed information. I described today's routine, diet, and work stress. The doctor examined my throat and ears and gently pressed my belly. He said there was a bit of inflammation, but it was not serious. He suggested more rest, drinking warm water, and speaking less. He also prescribed cough medicine and throat lozenges and told me to take them on time. If after three days I still did not feel well, I should come again for a follow-up. He also reminded me to wash my hands, keep rooms ventilated, and avoid infecting my family.
