Trip to the Great Wall

长城之旅

上个 周末 我 和 朋友 去 北京 的 长城 旅行。 我们 一大早 从 酒店 出发，天气 晴朗，空气 有点 冷，但是 阳光 温暖。 我们 坐 地铁 到 德胜门，然后 坐 公交车 到 八达岭。 车上 有 很多 游客，他们 也 很 兴奋。 到了 景区，我们 先 买 门票，又 领 了 地图，还 租 了 音频 导览。 工作人员 很 热情，告诉 我们 注意 安全，多 休息，多 喝 水。 我们 走 上 台阶，台阶 很 高，也 很 陡。 我们 慢慢 地 走，一边 看 风景，一边 拍 照。 远处 的 群山 像 一条 龙，城墙 一直 向 前 延伸，真是 壮观。 我们 看见 古老 的 城楼，想起 很多 历史 故事。 中午 我们 在 小店 吃 简单 的 午饭，还 喝 了 热 茶。 下午 风 更 大，我们 穿 上 外套，继续 爬 到 更 高 的 瞭望台。 下山 的 时候，我们 小心 台阶，没有 着急。 回 到 市区 已经 傍晚，我们 虽然 累，但是 心里 很 满足。 我们 觉得 这次 旅行 很 值得，也 想 下次 和 家人 一起 再 来。 我们 还 买 了 小 纪念品，给 父母 和 同事 作为 礼物。

English Translation

Last weekend, my friends and I took a trip to the Great Wall in Beijing. We set out from the hotel very early; the weather was clear, the air was a little cold, but the sunlight was warm. We took the subway to Deshengmen, then took a bus to Badaling. There were many tourists on the bus, and they were also very excited. When we arrived at the scenic area, we first bought tickets, got a map, and also rented an audio guide. The staff were very friendly and told us to pay attention to safety, rest more, and drink more water. We walked up the steps; the steps were very high and also very steep. We walked slowly, looked at the scenery, and took photos at the same time. The mountains in the distance looked like a dragon, and the wall stretched forward; it was truly magnificent. We saw ancient towers and thought of many historical stories. At noon we ate a simple lunch in a small shop and drank hot tea. In the afternoon the wind was stronger; we put on our coats and continued climbing to a higher viewing platform. When going down the mountain, we were careful on the steps and did not hurry. When we returned to the city it was already evening; although we were tired, we felt very satisfied. We think this trip was very worthwhile, and we also want to come again next time with our family. We also bought small souvenirs as gifts for our parents and colleagues.
