An Office Worker in Madrid

Lucía trabaja en una oficina en Madrid. Cada día se despierta a las siete y desayuna pan con café. Sale de su piso y toma el metro cerca de su calle. En el trabajo, en un edificio alto, enciende su ordenador y lee correos. Habla con su jefe y con tres compañeros. A mediodía come un bocadillo en un parque pequeño. Después vuelve a la oficina y escribe informes simples. Termina a las cinco y compra fruta en una tienda del barrio. Llega a casa cansada, pero contenta. Por la tarde llama a su madre, cocina una cena fácil y ve una serie corta. Se acuesta antes de las once.

English Translation

Lucia works in an office in Madrid. Every day she wakes up at seven and has breakfast with bread and coffee. She leaves her apartment and takes the metro near her street. At work, in a tall building, she turns on her computer and reads emails. She talks with her boss and with three coworkers. At noon she eats a sandwich in a small park. After that she returns to the office and writes simple reports. She finishes at five and buys fruit in a shop in the neighborhood. She arrives home tired, but happy. In the evening she calls her mother, cooks an easy dinner, and watches a short series. She goes to bed before eleven.
