La temporada de lluvias en Guatemala llega cada año entre mayo y octubre. El cielo se vuelve gris, y las nubes cubren las montañas. La gente lleva paraguas y botas. Las calles están mojadas, pero el aire es fresco. En la tarde llueve fuerte, y por la noche cae una lluvia suave. Los niños miran la lluvia desde las ventanas y escuchan el trueno lejano. Los agricultores están contentos, porque el maíz y el café crecen bien con tanta agua. En la ciudad, el tráfico es lento, y todos caminan con cuidado. The rainy season in Guatemala arrives every year between May and October. The sky turns gray, and the clouds cover the mountains. People carry umbrellas and boots. The streets are wet, but the air is cool. In the afternoon it rains hard, and at night a gentle rain falls. Children watch the rain from the windows and listen to the distant thunder. Farmers are happy, because the corn and the coffee grow well with so much water. In the city, the traffic is slow, and everyone walks carefully. After the rain, the sun appears and the landscape looks clean and green.
