An Office Worker's Daily Routine

رُوتِينُ الْمُوَظَّفِ اليَوْمِيُّ

أَنَا مُوَظَّفٌ فِي مَكْتَبٍ كَبِيرٍ. أَسْتَيْقِظُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فِي السَّاعَةِ السَّادِسَةِ صَبَاحًا. أَغْسِلُ وَجْهِي وَأَتَنَاوَلُ فُطُورًا خَفِيفًا. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَرْكَبُ الحَافِلَةَ وَأَذْهَبُ إِلَى الْعَمَلِ. أَجْلِسُ عَلَى مَكْتَبِي وَأَكْتُبُ الرَّسَائِلَ. أُقَابِلُ زُمَلَائِي وَنَتَحَدَّثُ عَنِ الْمَشَارِيعِ. فِي وَقْتِ الِاسْتِرَاحَةِ أَشْرَبُ قَهْوَةً وَآكُلُ سَندويشًا. بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ أُرَاجِعُ الْوَثَائِقَ وَأُجِيبُ عَلَى الْمُكَالَمَاتِ. فِي السَّاعَةِ الخَامِسَةِ أَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْمَكْتَبِ وَأَعُودُ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ. فِي الْمَسَاءِ أَجْلِسُ مَعَ عَائِلَتِي وَنَتَعَشَّى مَعًا. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ أَقْرَأُ قَلِيلًا ثُمَّ أَنَامُ مُبَكِّرًا لِكَيْ أَكُونَ نَشِيطًا فِي الْيَوْمِ التَّالِي.

English Translation

I am an employee in a big office. I wake up every day at six in the morning. I wash my face and eat a light breakfast. After that, I take the bus and go to work. I sit at my desk and write letters. I meet my colleagues and we talk about projects. During the break time, I drink coffee and eat a sandwich. In the afternoon, I review documents and answer phone calls. At five o’clock, I leave the office and return home. In the evening, I sit with my family and we have dinner together. After that, I read a little and then sleep early so I can be active the next day.
