Grandpa's Daily Routine

رُوتِينُ جَدِّي الْيَوْمِيُّ

جَدِّي رَجُلٌ مُتَقَاعِدٌ وَيَعِيشُ مَعَ أُسْرَتِنَا. يَسْتَيْقِظُ كُلَّ صَبَاحٍ فِي السَّاعَةِ السَّابِعَةِ. يَشْرَبُ فِنْجَانَ قَهْوَةٍ وَيَقْرَأُ جَرِيدَةً صَغِيرَةً. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يَمْشِي فِي الحَدِيقَةِ وَيُشَاهِدُ الأَزْهَارَ. يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُسَاعِدَ أَحْفَادَهُ فِي الدِّرَاسَةِ. يُجِيبُ عَلَى أَسْئِلَتِهِمْ وَيَضْحَكُ مَعَهُمْ. فِي وَقْتِ الظُّهْرِ يَتَغَدَّى مَعَ أُسْرَتِنَا فِي المَطْبَخِ. بَعْدَ الطَّعَامِ يَسْتَرِيحُ قَلِيلًا عَلَى الكُرْسِيِّ. فِي المَسَاءِ يَجْلِسُ مَعَ أَبْنَائِهِ وَيَتَحَدَّثُونَ عَنِ الْحَيَاةِ. يَشْعُرُ بِالسَّعَادَةِ لِأَنَّهُ قَرِيبٌ مِنْ عَائِلَتِنَا كُلَّ يَوْمٍ.

English Translation

My grandfather is a retired man and he lives with our family. He wakes up every morning at seven o’clock. He drinks a cup of coffee and reads a small newspaper. After that, he walks in the garden and looks at the flowers. He likes to help his grandchildren with their studies. He answers their questions and laughs with them. At noon, he has lunch with our family in the kitchen. After the meal, he rests a little on the chair. In the evening, he sits with his children and they talk about life. He feels happy because he is close to our family every day.
