Family Gathering

لِقَاءُ العَائِلَةِ

أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَقْضِيَ يَوْمَ الجُمُعَةِ مَعَ عَائِلَتِي. نَجْتَمِعُ فِي بَيْتِ جَدِّي وَجَدَّتِي. يَجْلِسُ أَبِي مَعَ أَعْمَامِي وَيَتَحَدَّثُونَ عَنِ العَمَلِ. أُمِّي وَخَالَتِي يُعِدُّونَ طَعَامًا لَذِيذًا. أَكَلْنَا خُبْزًا وَجُبْنًا وَفَاكِهَةً. شَرِبْنَا شَايًا وَعَصِيرًا. كَانَ هُنَاكَ أَطْفَالٌ كَثِيرُونَ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي الحَدِيقَةِ. لَعِبْتُ مَعَ أُخْتِي وَأَخِي بِالكُرَةِ وَضَحِكْنَا كَثِيرًا. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قَرَأْنَا قِصَّةً صَغِيرَةً مَعًا. شَعَرْتُ بِالسَّعَادَةِ وَالأَمَانِ. أُحِبُّ هَذَا اللِّقَاءَ كُلَّ أُسْبُوعٍ لِأَنَّهُ يُقَرِّبُنَا وَيُعَلِّمُنَا الحُبَّ وَالتَّعَاوُنَ.

English Translation

I like to spend Friday with my family. We gather in my grandfather and grandmother’s house. My father sits with my uncles and they talk about work. My mother and my aunt prepare delicious food. We ate bread, cheese, and fruit. We drank tea and juice. There were many children playing in the garden. I played with my sister and my brother with the ball and we laughed a lot. After that, we read a short story together. I felt happiness and safety. I love this gathering every week, because it brings us closer and teaches us love and cooperation.
