Preparing for My Wedding

الِاسْتِعْدَادُ لِزَفَافِي

أَنَا الْيَوْمَ عَرِيسٌ وَأَسْتَعِدُّ لِزَفَافِي. اِسْتَيْقَظْتُ مُبَكِّرًا وَذَهَبْتُ إِلَى الْحَلَّاقِ. قَصَصْتُ شَعْرِي وَغَسَلْتُ وَجْهِي. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لَبِسْتُ بَدْلَةً جَدِيدَةً وَرَبَطْتُ رِبَاطَ الْعُنُقِ. جَاءَ أَخِي وَسَاعَدَنِي فِي تَجْهِيزِ الْمَلَابِسِ. أُمِّي أَعْطَتْنِي نَصَائِحَ جَمِيلَةً، وَأَبِي ضَحِكَ مَعِي. جَاءَ أَصْدِقَائِي إِلَى الْبَيْتِ وَقَدَّمُوا هَدَايَا. شَعَرْتُ بِالسُّعَادَةِ وَالْفَخْرِ. كَانَ الْبَيْتُ مُمْتَلِئًا بِالزِّينَةِ وَالْأَلْوَانِ. أَنَا فَرِحٌ جِدًّا لِأَنَّ الْيَوْمَ هُوَ بَدَايَةُ حَيَاةٍ جَدِيدَةٍ مَعَ زَوْجَتِي.

English Translation

Today I am a groom and I prepare for my wedding. I woke up early and went to the barber. I cut my hair and washed my face. After that, I put on a new suit and tied the tie. My brother came and helped me with the clothes. My mother gave me kind advice, and my father laughed with me. My friends came to the house and gave gifts. I felt happiness and pride. The house was full of decorations and colors. I am very happy because today is the beginning of a new life with my wife.
