Searching for My Glasses

البَحْثُ عَنْ نَظَّارَتِي

صَحَوْتُ فِي الصَّبَاحِ وَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ كِتَابًا، وَلَكِنَّنِي لَمْ أَجِدْ نَظَّارَتِي. بَدَأْتُ أَبْحَثُ فِي كُلِّ غُرْفَةٍ فِي البَيْتِ. دَخَلْتُ غُرْفَةَ الجُلُوسِ وَنَظَرْتُ تَحْتَ الطَّاوِلَةِ، وَلَمْ أَجِدْ شَيْئًا. ذَهَبْتُ إِلَى المَطْبَخِ وَفَتَحْتُ الخَزَانَةَ، وَلَمْ أَجِدْهَا. فِي غُرْفَةِ النَّوْمِ بَحَثْتُ عَلَى السَّرِيرِ وَفِي الدُّرْجِ، وَلَمْ أَجِدْهَا أَيْضًا. أَخِيرًا دَخَلْتُ الحَمَّامَ، وَنَظَرْتُ فِي المِرْآةِ، فَوَجَدْتُ أَنَّ النَّظَّارَةَ عَلَى وَجْهِي مُنْذُ البِدَايَةِ. ضَحِكْتُ كَثِيرًا وَشَعَرْتُ بِالطَّرَفَةِ.

English Translation

I woke up in the morning and wanted to read a book, but I did not find my glasses. I started searching in every room in the house. I entered the living room and looked under the table, but I did not find anything. I went to the kitchen and opened the cupboard, but I did not find them. In the bedroom I looked on the bed and in the drawer, but I did not find them either. Finally, I entered the bathroom and looked in the mirror, and I found that the glasses were on my face from the beginning. I laughed a lot and felt amused.
