Renting an Apartment in Alexandria

اسْتِئْجَارُ شَقَّةٍ فِي الإِسْكَنْدَرِيَّةِ

أَنَا جِئْتُ جَدِيدًا إِلَى مَدِينَةِ الإِسْكَنْدَرِيَّةِ. أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَسْكُنَ فِي شَقَّةٍ قَرِيبَةٍ مِنَ البَحْرِ. ذَهَبْتُ مَعَ صَدِيقِي إِلَى مَكْتَبِ العَقَارَاتِ. قَالَ لَنَا المُوَظَّفُ إِنَّ هُنَاكَ شَقَّةً صَغِيرَةً وَجَمِيلَةً. ذَهَبْنَا لِنَرَاهَا. دَخَلْنَا الشَّقَّةَ وَرَأَيْنَا غُرْفَةَ جُلُوسٍ وَمَطْبَخًا صَغِيرًا وَغُرْفَةَ نَوْمٍ. أَعْجَبَتْنِي الشَّقَّةُ جِدًّا لِأَنَّهَا نَظِيفَةٌ وَقَرِيبَةٌ مِنَ المَحَلَّاتِ. وَقَّعْتُ العَقْدَ وَدَفَعْتُ الإِيجَارَ. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ اِشْتَرَيْتُ أَثَاثًا بَسِيطًا وَجَلَسْتُ فِي شَقَّتِي الجَدِيدَةِ. شَعَرْتُ بِالسَّعَادَةِ لِأَنَّ عِنْدِي بَيْتًا فِي الإِسْكَنْدَرِيَّةِ.

English Translation

I came new to the city of Alexandria. I wanted to live in an apartment near the sea. I went with my friend to the real estate office. The employee told us that there was a small and beautiful apartment. We went to see it. We entered the apartment and saw a living room, a small kitchen, and a bedroom. I liked the apartment very much because it was clean and close to the shops. I signed the contract and paid the rent. After that, I bought simple furniture and sat in my new apartment. I felt happy because I had a home in Alexandria.
