Figuring Out Public Transport in Khartoum

اِسْتِعْمَالُ وَسَائِلِ النَّقْلِ فِي الخُرْطُومِ

فِي مَدِينَةِ الخُرْطُومِ يَجِبُ أَنْ تَتَعَلَّمَ كَيْفَ تَسْتَعْمِلُ وَسَائِلَ النَّقْلِ. أَوَّلًا يَجِبُ أَنْ تَذْهَبَ إِلَى المَحَطَّةِ. هُنَاكَ تَسْأَلُ أَحَدَ النَّاسِ عَنْ الحَافِلَةِ إِلَى المَرْكَزِ. إِذَا قَالُوا لَكَ اِرْكَبِ الحَافِلَةَ الزَّرْقَاءَ فَانْتَظِرْهَا حَتَّى تَجِيءَ. عِنْدَمَا تَرْكَبُ الحَافِلَةَ يَجِبُ أَنْ تَدْفَعَ التَّذْكِرَةَ. بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ يُمْكِنُ أَنْ تَجْلِسَ قُرْبَ الشُّبَّاكِ وَتَنْظُرَ إِلَى الطُّرُقِ وَالمَحَلَّاتِ. بَعْدَ نِصْفِ سَاعَةٍ سَتَصِلُ إِلَى المَرْكَزِ. اِسْتِعْمَالُ النَّقْلِ العَامِّ فِي الخُرْطُومِ سَهْلٌ إِذَا تَتَّبِعُ هَذِهِ الخُطُوَاتِ.

English Translation

In the city of Khartoum you must learn how to use public transport. First, you must go to the station. There, you ask someone about the bus to the center. If they tell you, “Take the blue bus,” wait for it until it comes. When you get on the bus, you must pay the ticket. After that, you can sit near the window and look at the streets and shops. After half an hour you will arrive at the center. Using public transport in Khartoum is easy if you follow these steps.
