Avondeten met de familie

Het is zondagavond. Emma zit aan tafel met haar ouders en haar kleine broer. De tafel is groot en netjes, met borden, glazen en een schaal met salade. Papa brengt soep in een pan. Mama snijdt brood en legt boter klaar. Emma zegt dat de soep warm en lekker is. Haar broer lacht, hij morst een beetje, maar iedereen helpt. Ze praten over school, werk en plannen voor het weekend. Na het eten drinken ze thee met honing. Dan ruimen ze samen op, en de keuken wordt weer rustig en schoon. Emma voelt zich blij, want samen eten maakt het huis gezellig.

Mom slices bread and sets out butter. Emma says that the soup is warm and tasty. Her brother laughs, he spills a little, but everyone helps. They talk about school, work, and plans for the weekend. After dinner they drink tea with honey. Then they tidy up together, and the kitchen becomes calm and clean again. Emma feels happy, because eating together makes the home cozy.
