Visiting Grandparents

Op bezoek bij opa en oma

Ik ga elke zondag naar mijn opa en oma. Ze wonen in een klein huis met een tuin. Ik neem bloemen en koekjes mee. Opa zit graag in zijn stoel en vertelt korte verhalen. Oma maakt thee en zet plakken cake op tafel. We praten over school en mijn vrienden. Soms speel ik met de kat in de tuin. We lopen ook even naar het park, het is rustig en groen. Ik help opa met de planten, ik geef water en veeg het pad. Aan het eind van de middag knuffel ik mijn oma en zeg tot volgende week. Ik voel me blij en veilig bij hen.

English Translation

I go every Sunday to my grandpa and grandma. They live in a small house with a garden. I bring flowers and cookies. Grandpa likes to sit in his chair and tells short stories. Grandma makes tea and puts slices of cake on the table. We talk about school and my friends. Sometimes I play with the cat in the garden. We also walk for a bit to the park, it is quiet and green. I help grandpa with the plants, I give water and sweep the path. At the end of the afternoon I hug my grandma and say see you next week. I feel happy and safe with them.
