Ik ga naar de supermarkt op de hoek. Ik pak een mandje en loop rustig door de gang. Ik heb een lijst: brood, melk, appels, rijst, en eieren. Brood kost twee euro, melk één euro, en tien appels kosten drie euro. Ik kies rode appels, ze zien er fris uit. Bij de koeling neem ik yoghurt en kaas. Daarna kijk ik naar de rijst en kies een kleine zak. Ik tel mijn geld en denk aan mijn budget. Bij de kassa zeg ik hallo. De kassier weegt de appels, scant alles, en zegt de prijs. Ik betaal met pin en neem de bon.

I go to the supermarket on the corner. I take a basket and walk calmly through the aisle. I have a list: bread, milk, apples, rice, and eggs. Bread costs two euros, milk is one euro, and ten apples cost three euros. I choose red apples; they look fresh. At the cooler I take yogurt and cheese. After that I look at the rice and choose a small bag. I count my money and think about my budget. At the checkout I say hello. The cashier weighs the apples, scans everything, and says the price. I pay by debit card and take the receipt.
