At the Bus Stop

Bij de Bushalte

Bij de bushalte staat Lina met een kleine tas. Het is vroeg in de ochtend, en de lucht is koel. Ze kijkt op de klok en leest de dienstregeling. De bus komt over tien minuten, denkt ze rustig. Naast haar staat een oudere man met een krant. Hij glimlacht en zegt hallo. Lina antwoordt beleefd en vraagt of lijn vijf naar het centrum gaat. De man knikt en wijst naar het bord. Er staat een groene vijf. Een kind speelt met een rode bal en lacht hard. Auto's rijden langzaam voorbij. Als de bus eindelijk stopt, stapt Lina in, betaalt met haar kaart, en zegt dank u wel.

At the bus stop, Lina stands with a small bag. It is early in the morning, and the air is cool. She looks at the clock and reads the timetable. The bus comes in ten minutes, she thinks calmly. Next to her stands an older man with a newspaper. He smiles and says hello. Lina answers politely and asks if line five goes to the center. The man nods and points to the sign. There is a green five. A child plays with a red ball and laughs loudly. Cars drive by slowly. When the bus finally stops, Lina gets on, pays with her card, and says thank you.
