A Day Trip to Rotterdam

Een dagtrip naar Rotterdam

Vorige zaterdag ging ik met mijn vriend naar Rotterdam. We namen de trein vroeg in de ochtend, want we wilden een lange dag in de stad hebben. De reis was snel en rustig. Vanaf het station liepen we naar de brede straten met hoge moderne gebouwen. Ik zag trams, fietsen, en mensen met koffers. De lucht was fris, en de wind kwam van het water. We dronken eerst koffie in een klein cafe naast een plein. De barista glimlachte en gaf ons tips over plekken om te bezoeken. Daarna liepen we naar de Erasmusbrug. De brug is wit en ziet eruit als een grote harp. We maakten fotos en keken naar boten op de Maas. Daarna gingen we naar de Markthal. Binnen roken we brood, kaas, en kruiden. Ik kocht stroopwafels voor mijn familie. Later namen we een watertaxi, wat snel en spannend was. We zagen de haven en veel kranen. In de middag gingen we naar de Euromast. Boven hadden we een mooi uitzicht over de hele stad. Aan het einde van de dag waren we moe, maar heel blij.

Last Saturday I went to Rotterdam with my friend. We took the train early in the morning, because we wanted to have a long day in the city. The trip was fast and calm. From the station we walked to the wide streets with tall modern buildings. I saw trams, bikes, and people with suitcases. The air was fresh, and the wind came from the water. First we drank coffee in a small cafe next to a square. The barista smiled and gave us tips about places to visit. After that we walked to the Erasmus Bridge. The bridge is white and looks like a big harp. We took photos and looked at boats on the Maas. Then we went to the Markthal. Inside we smelled bread, cheese, and herbs. I bought stroopwafels for my family. Later we took a water taxi, which was fast and exciting. We saw the harbor and many cranes. In the afternoon we went to the Euromast. Up above we had a beautiful view over the whole city. At the end of the day we were tired, but very happy.
