Grandfather's Morning in a Village

صبح پدربزرگ در روستا

پدربزرگ صبح در روستا بیدار میشود، ساعت پنج است و آسمان هنوز کمی تاریک است. او آرام از تخت بلند میشود و نماز میخواند. سپس چای داغ مینوشد و کنار پنجره مینشیند و به کوه و درختان نگاه میکند. هوا خنک و تمیز است. پدربزرگ کفش ساده میپوشد و عصا برمیدارد تا به حیاط برود. مرغ و خروس ها دان میدهد و گربه کوچک نزدیک در میاید. او با مهربانی تکه نان میدهد. بعد سر چاه میرود و سطل آب بالا میکشد و باغ را آب میدهد. خورشید بالا میاید و بوی نان تازه از تنور همسایه میرسد. پدربزرگ لبخند میزند و میگوید امروز روز خوبی است.

English Translation

Grandfather wakes up in the village in the morning. It is five o'clock, and the sky is still a little dark. He quietly gets up from bed and prays. Then he drinks hot tea and sits by the window and looks at the mountain and the trees. The air is cool and clean. Grandfather puts on simple shoes and takes his cane to go to the yard. He feeds the hens and roosters, and a small cat comes near the door. He kindly gives it a piece of bread. Then he goes to the well, pulls up a bucket of water, and waters the garden. The sun rises, and the smell of fresh bread comes from the neighbor's oven. Grandfather smiles and says, today is a good day.
