Visiting Grandparents in Shiraz

دیدار با پدربزرگ و مادربزرگ در شیراز

من با پدر و مادر و خواهرم به شیراز می روم. ما آخر هفته به خانه پدربزرگ و مادربزرگ می رویم. خانه آنها نزدیک باغ ارم است و بوی نارنج در کوچه می آید. من برای مادربزرگ گل می برم و برای پدربزرگ شیرینی می خرم. وقتی می رسیم، آنها با لبخند ما را بغل می کنند. ما چای داغ می خوریم و با هم حرف می زنیم. پدربزرگ از جوانی خود می گوید و عکس های قدیمی نشان می دهد. بعد با هم به پارک می رویم، قدم می زنیم و بستنی می خوریم. غروب برمی گردیم، من تشکر می کنم و قول می دهم زود برگردم.

English Translation

I go to Shiraz with my father, mother, and sister. We visit my grandparents’ house on the weekend. Their house is near Eram Garden, and the smell of bitter orange comes to the alley. I take flowers for my grandmother and buy sweets for my grandfather. When we arrive, they hug us with a smile. We drink hot tea and talk together. Grandfather talks about his youth and shows old photos. Then we go to the park together, we walk and eat ice cream. At sunset we return; I say thank you and promise to come back soon.
