Visiting the Doctor

امروز صبح با گلودرد و سرفه از خواب بیدار شدم. احساس تب داشتم و بدنم خسته بود. تصمیم گرفتم به درمانگاه بروم. کارت بیمه ام را برداشتم و با اتوبوس رفتم. وقتی رسیدم، به پذیرش سلام کردم و نوبت گرفتم. خانم پذیرش نام و شماره تلفنم را پرسید و فرمی کوتاه داد. در سالن نشستم و چند دقیقه منتظر ماندم. بعد پرستار اسم مرا صدا زد و مرا به اتاق پزشک برد. پزشک مهربان بود. او از من پرسید چه مشکلی دارم و از چه زمانی بیمار شده ام. دمای بدنم را اندازه گرفت و فشار خونم را چک کرد. سپس گلویم را نگاه کرد و به سینه ام گوش داد. او گفت که سرماخورده ام و نیاز به استراحت دارم. پزشک برایم شربت سرفه و قرص نوشت و توضیح داد که روزی دو بار دارو را بخورم. همچنین گفت آب گرم با عسل بنوشم و هوای اتاق را تمیز نگه دارم. بعد به داروخانه رفتم، نسخه را دادم و هزینه را با کارت پرداخت کردم. وقتی به خانه رسیدم، چای داغ درست کردم و در تخت استراحت کردم. امیدوارم فردا حالم بهتر شود و بتوانم به کارم برگردم.

English Translation

This morning I woke up with a sore throat and a cough. I felt feverish and my body was tired. I decided to go to the clinic. I took my insurance card and went by bus. When I arrived, I greeted the reception and got an appointment. The receptionist asked for my name and phone number and gave me a short form. I sat in the hall and waited a few minutes. Then the nurse called my name and took me to the doctor’s room. The doctor was kind. He asked what problem I have and since when I have been sick. He took my temperature and checked my blood pressure. Then he looked at my throat and listened to my chest. He said I had a cold and needed rest. The doctor prescribed cough syrup and pills for me, and explained that I should take the medicine twice a day. He also said to drink warm water with honey and keep the room air clean. After that I went to the pharmacy, gave the prescription, and paid the cost with a card. When I got home, I made hot tea and rested in bed. I hope tomorrow I feel better and can return to my work.
