Visiting Persepolis

روز شنبه با خانواده ام از شیراز به تخت جمشید رفتیم. هوا آفتابی و کمی خنک بود و ما آب و کلاه همراه داشتیم. راه با اتوبوس حدود یک ساعت طول کشید و در مسیر کوه ها و دشت های سبز را دیدیم. وقتی رسیدیم بلیط خریدیم و از در ورودی آرام و تمیز گذشتیم. ستون های بلند و پله های پهن جلوی ما بود و نقش های زیبای سربازان و حیوانات روی سنگ ها دیده می شد. راهنما با زبان ساده توضیح داد که اینجا پایتخت جشن های بزرگ هخامنشی بوده است. او درباره داریوش و خشایارشا حرف زد و به دروازه ملل اشاره کرد. ما از پله ها آرام بالا رفتیم و عکس های زیادی گرفتیم. باد ملایم می وزید و آفتاب روی سنگ ها می درخشید. من به سکوت مکان گوش دادم و احساس احترام کردم. در کنار محوطه یک موزه کوچک بود و ما چند چیز قدیمی را دیدیم و کارت پستال خریدیم. نزدیک ظهر در سایه نشستیم و ساندویچ خوردیم و آب سرد نوشیدیم. پیش از رفتن دوباره به نقش برجسته ها نگاه کردم و جزییات لباس ها و ریش ها را شمردم. این سفر کوتاه ولی آموزشی و خاطره انگیز بود و دوست دارم دوباره برگردم.

English Translation

On Saturday, I went with my family from Shiraz to Persepolis. The weather was sunny and a little cool, and we carried water and hats. The bus ride took about one hour, and on the way we saw mountains and green plains. When we arrived, we bought tickets and passed through a calm and clean entrance. Tall columns and wide steps were in front of us, and beautiful carvings of soldiers and animals could be seen on the stones. The guide explained in simple language that this place was the capital of great Achaemenid celebrations. He talked about Darius and Xerxes and pointed to the Gate of All Nations. We went up the steps slowly and took many photos. A gentle wind was blowing, and the sun was shining on the stones. I listened to the silence of the place and felt respect. Next to the site there was a small museum, and we saw several old things and bought a postcard. Near noon we sat in the shade, ate sandwiches, and drank cold water. Before leaving, I looked again at the relief carvings and counted the details of the clothes and beards. This short trip was educational and memorable, and I would like to return again.
