Grandpa's Morning

Dimineața bunicului

În fiecare dimineață, bunicul se trezește devreme. El zâmbește, se întinde, și spune bună dimineața casei. Apoi merge la bucătărie și fierbe apă pentru ceai. Taie pâine, pune unt și dulceață pe felii. Îi place mirosul de cafea, dar bea ceai cald. Deschide fereastra, respiră aer proaspăt, și ascultă păsările. După micul dejun, spală cana și farfuria, șterge masa, și aranjează scaunul. Apoi citește ziarul vechi, poartă ochelari, și notează vremea într-un caiet mic. La ora opt, își pune pălăria și iese puțin în curte. Uda florile, salută vecinul, și spune că ziua începe bine.

English Translation

Every morning, grandpa wakes up early. He smiles, stretches, and says good morning to the house. Then he goes to the kitchen and boils water for tea. He cuts bread, puts butter and jam on slices. He likes the smell of coffee, but he drinks hot tea. He opens the window, breathes fresh air, and listens to the birds. After breakfast, he washes the cup and the plate, wipes the table, and arranges the chair. Then he reads the old newspaper, wears his glasses, and notes the weather in a small notebook. At eight o'clock, he puts on his hat and goes out a little to the yard. He waters the flowers, greets the neighbor, and says that the day starts well.
