Cycling to School

Merg cu bicicleta la școală

În fiecare dimineață merg la școală cu bicicleta. Îmi place drumul, pentru că aerul este proaspăt și strada este liniștită. Pornesc devreme, pun casca pe cap și aprind lumina mică. Trec pe lângă parc, magazin și stație. Văd copaci verzi, oameni grăbiți și un câine prietenos. Pedalez încet la urcare și mai repede la coborâre. La un semafor aștept culoarea verde și mă uit în stânga și în dreapta. Mă simt liber și atent. Ajung la școală în douăzeci de minute, leg bicicleta cu lanțul și salut colegii, zâmbind. Apoi intru în clasă liniștit.

English Translation

Every morning I go to school by bicycle. I like the route because the air is fresh and the street is quiet. I start early, put the helmet on my head, and turn on the small light. I pass by the park, the shop, and the stop. I see green trees, people in a hurry, and a friendly dog. I pedal slowly uphill and faster downhill. At a traffic light I wait for the green color and I look to the left and to the right. I feel free and attentive. I arrive at school in twenty minutes, lock the bicycle with the chain, and greet my classmates, smiling. Then I enter the classroom calmly.
