Village Festival

Sarbatoarea satului

In fiecare vara, satul nostru organizeaza Sarbatoarea Satului, o zi plina de culoare si bucurie. Dimineata, oamenii se aduna in piata centrala, langa primaria veche.

English Translation

Every summer, our village organizes the Village Celebration, a day full of color and joy. In the morning, people gather in the central square, near the old town hall. The mayor opens the event with a short greeting, then the children sing a cheerful anthem. On the main street there are stalls with local products: honey, cheese, warm bread, jam, as well as souvenirs made by hand. Visitors can taste, can buy, and can talk with the producers. At lunch, a big soup is prepared in a cauldron, and neighbors bring salads, fruit, and cakes. Musicians from the village play the violin and accordion, and couples dance the hora in a circle. In the afternoon there is a costume contest, a game for children, and a parade with carts decorated with flowers. Volunteers keep things clean and show tourists the way. In the evening, on the small stage in the park, there is a folk show with guests from neighboring villages. Everyone applauds and takes photos. At the end, the little lights turn on, and a short fireworks display closes the celebration. This day keeps traditions, brings people together, and shows that life in the village can be active, warm, and welcoming. Many young people return home for this special weekend.
