The Farmer
Fermierul
El iese in curte, asculta pasarile si verifica vremea. Daca ploua, munca este diferita. Daca este soare, incepe cu stropitul gradinii. Apoi hraneste vacile, caprele si gainile. Le da apa curata si curata grajdul. Dupa aceea aduna oua proaspete si mulge vaca. Cu laptele face branza simpla pentru familie. In camp, fermierul seamana grau si porumb in primavara si strange recolta toamna. Uneori conduce tractorul, alteori lucreaza cu sapa. El repara garduri, taie iarba si planteaza pomi.
English Translation
The farmer is a person who works the land and takes care of animals. Every morning he wakes up early, before sunrise. He goes out into the yard, listens to the birds, and checks the weather. If it rains, the work is different. If it is sunny, he starts by watering the garden. Then he feeds the cows, goats, and hens. He gives them clean water and cleans the barn. After that he gathers fresh eggs and milks the cow. With the milk he makes simple cheese for the family. In the field, the farmer sows wheat and corn in spring and gathers the harvest in autumn. Sometimes he drives the tractor, other times he works with the hoe. He repairs fences, cuts grass, and plants trees. Work is hard, but it makes him proud, because the village has good food. In the evening he takes vegetables to the market in the city. There he talks with customers, states fair prices, and smiles. When he returns home, he notes expenses and plans for the next day. The family helps him, especially on weekends. The children learn the names of plants and learn to respect nature. The farmer knows that without patience and attention there are no rich yields. He uses good seeds, natural fertilizer, and water from the well. When winter comes, he repairs tools, reads farming advice, and plans new crops.
