Mwalimu Asha anafanya kazi katika shule ya msingi mjini. Kila asubuhi anaamka mapema, anakunywa chai, na anakagua mpango wa somo. Wakati mwingine anatembea, wakati mwingine anapanda basi, ili afike shuleni kabla ya wanafunzi. Anapowasili, anaweka vitabu kwenye meza, na kuandika tarehe ubaoni. Anaandaa vifaa vya kufundishia, kama kalamu, karatasi, na vibandiko vyenye rangi. Anaangalia orodha ya mahudhurio na kuhakikisha kila mtu yupo au ametuma taarifa. Anawasalimu wanafunzi kwa adabu, anacheka kidogo, na kuwauliza habari za afya. Kisha anaanza kipindi kwa hadithi fupi au wimbo rahisi, ili wanafunzi wawe makini na wajisikie huru. Anawahimiza waulize maswali, na anasema hakuna swali dogo. Wakati wa mapumziko anasikiliza hadithi zao na kukumbusha sheria za darasa. Baada ya shule anapitia madaftari, anaweka alama, na anakutana na wazazi anapohitajika. Anaandika taarifa fupi kuhusu maendeleo ya kila mtoto. Anaamini kila mtoto anaweza kujifunza kwa muda na msaada. Jioni anasoma mawazo mapya na kujiandaa kwa siku inayofuata. Wanafunzi wanamheshimu kwa sababu ni mvumilivu na mwadilifu, na yeye anapenda kazi yake.

English Translation

Teacher Asha works at a primary school in town. Every morning she wakes up early, drinks tea, and checks the lesson plan. Sometimes she walks, sometimes she takes a bus, so that she reaches school before the students. When she arrives, she puts books on the table, and writes the date on the board. She prepares teaching materials, like pens, paper, and colorful stickers. She looks at the attendance list and makes sure everyone is present or has sent a notice. She greets the students politely, smiles a little, and asks them about their health. Then she begins the lesson with a short story or a simple song, so that students are attentive and feel free. During the lesson she explains the steps slowly, uses simple words, and draws pictures on the board. She walks around the classroom and helps each student calmly. She encourages them to ask questions, and she says no question is small. During the break she listens to their stories and reminds them of the class rules. After school she goes through the exercise books, gives marks, and meets with parents when needed. She writes a short report about each child's progress. She believes every child can learn with time and support. In the evening she reads new ideas and prepares for the next day. The students respect her because she is patient and fair, and she loves her work.
